Simple and Fast Shredded Chicken Breast

Chicken is a high protein mainstay in most healthy diets. The lower fat content with the high content of phosphorus, niacin, and vitamins makes this shredded chicken a great start to any meal. 

Serves 6

Cook time: 25 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs chicken breast

  • 1 cup water or chicken broth

  • Sea salt and freshly ground white pepper

Directions

  1. Pour the water in your Instant Pot.

  2. Sprinkle generously the chicken breast with salt and pepper on both sides.

  3. Place the chicken breast to your Instant Pot.

  4. Choose the “POULTRY” button and add 15 minutes.

  5. When the cooking time is finished, choose Quick pressure release, open the valve and allow the steam to release quickly.

  6. Transfer the chicken on a cutting board and use two forks to shred.

  7. Serve hot or keep refrigerated.
