What Is Collagen Care+? 7 Ingredients to Boost Your Natural Collagen Production
If you’ve followed NativePath for a while, you know how much we love and encourage the life-changing benefits of collagen.
On its own, collagen can add radiance and elasticity to your skin, boost hair and nail growth, ease joint pain, offer a daily energy boost, and more (1).
But what if there was a way to up the ante on those perks…a way that ensures your body is getting the absolute most from your collagen supplementation?
Well, there is—Collagen Care+.
What Is Collagen Care+?
Collagen Care+ is a capsule supplement with a unique blend of seven essential vitamins and minerals that enhance the results of your collagen supplementation. It achieves this in three important ways:
- By helping your body make more collagen. Collagen Care+ boosts your body’s natural ability to produce collagen. This allows you to reactivate the natural collagen production you’ve lost with age. It also recovers your body’s collagen deficit faster, which means you can start seeing optimal results faster.
- By preserving higher collagen levels as you age. As early as your 20s, your body’s natural collagen levels start to decrease. In your 30s, you may start to lose up to 1.5% of your body’s collagen each year (2). This means that by the time you hit 60, you’re working with only half of the collagen that you started with. Collagen Care+ helps curb this effect by preserving higher levels of collagen even as you age.
- By protecting your collagen from environmental stressors. External factors like free radicals, pollution, smoke, and UV rays can all deplete your body’s natural collagen stores. The ingredients in Collagen Care+ can help protect your collagen from these youth-zapping stressors.
While collagen certainly offers plenty of benefits on its own, Collagen Care+ is what protects it once it's in your body.
The 7 Ingredients in Collagen Care+
Each of the seven ingredients in Collagen Care+ was hand chosen to provide that perfect boost to your collagen routine.
1. Vitamin C
Vitamin C plays an important role in the body’s production of Collagen Types 1 and 3 (3). Vitamin C is also integral to the overall growth and repair of cells, which can help your skin heal and improve from anything holding back its glow (4). Your cartilage, bones, and teeth rely on vitamin C for healthy maintenance, and supplementing with this vitamin can help ease joint inflammation and pain (5).
2. Zinc
Zinc is another power player in collagen production. It’s vital to protecting your body’s collagen supply and keeping it healthy (6). Zinc is known to accelerate healing, especially for your skin—about 5% of your body’s zinc supply is in your skin alone (7)! It’s a great way to give your skin a little extra love.
3. Vitamin A
Vitamin A stimulates collagen production in aging skin, which helps enhance the skin benefits you see when taking collagen (8). If you’re a skincare fan, you might already know that vitamin A is a cornerstone ingredient for increasing cell turnover to keep your skin happy and healthy. It’s been linked to improved appearance of wrinkles, decreased acne, reduced hyperpigmentation, and decreased psoriasis symptoms (9).
4. Vitamin B7
Vitamin B7 is also known as biotin, an ingredient known for its presence in hair, skin, and nail supplements across the beauty market. Biotin is famous for good reason: It can help improve your hair and nail health, particularly if you have a biotin deficiency (10). If you’re taking collagen for its benefits on hair and nail strength, vitamin B7 is a great way to boost your results.
5. Magnesium
Magnesium is not only vital to your body’s collagen production…it’s vital for over 300 enzyme systems in the body—from muscle and nerve function to blood glucose control to blood pressure regulation and more (11, 12).
On top of this, magnesium can also boost many of the effects we associate with a daily collagen routine. It may help improve your exercise performance, boost your mood, and soothe inflammation for fewer aches and pains throughout the day (13, 14, 15).
6. Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid is another collagen-producing superhero, but much like collagen itself, our body’s level of hyaluronic acid shrinks as we age (16). Supplementing with hyaluronic acid can help make up for the supply that you’ve lost. Hyaluronic acid is also a powerful skin-boosting ingredient in its own right, with the ability to soften fine lines and plump the skin for a more youthful radiance (17).
7. Boron Citrate
If you’re mainly taking collagen for its bone health benefits, then you’ll love boron citrate…
This mineral plays a crucial part in the creation of collagen that exists in your bones, connective tissues, and cartilage (18).
Supplementing with boron citrate can help increase your body’s base supply, which can help boost the collagen cells that make your bones stronger and healthier. It could also help play a role in easing joint pain, boosting brain function, and more. Boron even helps extend the half-life of vitamin D, making your bones even stronger (19)!
Is There Collagen in Collagen Care+?
Nope! Collagen Care+ does not contain any collagen. The ingredients support your body’s natural collagen production. Collagen Care+ is designed to be taken alongside a daily collagen supplement like NativePath Collagen, so you can boost your results and get the benefits of both collagen supplementation and natural collagen production.
When Is the Best Time to Take Collagen Care+?
The best time to take Collagen Care+ for peak absorption and results is first thing in the morning. Enjoy it with a glass of water. It doesn’t matter whether you take it with or without food—that’s totally up to you and what’s best for your routine.
The Bottom Line
Collagen can transform your daily life by reducing aches and pains and restoring your youthful glow. And Collagen Care+ can make those benefits even better. A serving size of just two capsules contains vitamins A, C, and B7, magnesium, zinc, hyaluronic acid, and boron citrate—for healthier bones, more radiant skin, and thicker, stronger hair and nails.

I ordered collagen a long time ago then started seeing stories else where about we shouldn’t take it. So now don’t know If I shouldn’t take it. I’m 78 years old. Should I or shouldn’t I take it? Does it help neuropathy.

Hi Lois, great question. Based on the scientific studies we’ve read, we know that collagen helps reduce the severity of symptoms associated with neuropathic pain. Just be sure that you’re taking a Hydrolyzed Grass-Fed Collagen that contains Type 1 and Type 3 Collagen, like the collagen powder we have here at NativePath. I always recommend speaking to your doctor before adding any dietary supplement to your routine, so that you can feel safe and confident with your supplementation.
